Game Swaps & Cool Shops

Last weekend, I stopped by one of my local gaming stores, Game Train USA, for a game swap event they were hosting. This was my first time at this particular store and attending a game swap event.

Game Train USA is a local restaurant & board gaming shop located in Highlands Ranch (Southwest Denver) here in Colorado. They offer delicious food, run a full-service bar, host themed events, and have a game library of over 600 games you can check out and play. Not only do they have two rooms that turn into train simulators and make you feel like you are on a train, but their steampunk aesthetic offers an amazing experience. You can learn more about Game Train USA on their website: https://gametrainusa.com. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend this location. I met the owners during the game swap; they are truly amazing people.

The game swap event lasted from 10 am-12 pm. Anyone who wanted to bring games to participate had to call ahead and reserve a table. I ended up sharing a table with one of my game group members - Mike. I had a pretty good time roaming around to the different tables to see everything others brought. I feel like I walked away with some pretty good deals. I was able to snag the base game + 2 unopened modules of T.I.M.E. Stories published by Space Cowboys, The Goonies: Never Say Die + expansion published by Funko Games, and PARKS published by Keymaster Games.

Overall, I had a really great time at the game swap and at Game Train USA. I will be going back and hope to participate in many more events with them.

Have you ever been to a game swap and walked away with amazing deals? What is one of your favorite local shops and what attracts you to them? Comment below and let me know! You can also engage in more discussion on Instagram and Facebook, head on over to join in!
