About Meeple House Games

Hello everyone! My name is Josh, the creator of Meeple House Games. My goal in creating Meeple House Games is to spread the love of board games and promote the benefits of the board gaming hobby.

I remember when I was young, playing board games with my two older sisters, and sometimes with my parents. Our go-to games, from what I can remember, consisted of Payday and Monopoly: Disney both published by Parker Brothers. Electronic Mall Madness published by Hasbro and The Game of Life published by Milton Bradley also had a couple of playthroughs. Growing up in the age of technology, I grew less fond of board games and leaned heavily into video games except for the occasional game of Risk. In college, one of my friends introduced me to my first “hobby” game, Betrayal at the House on the Hill (2nd edition) published by Avalon Hill Games.

Since then, I have been nothing but fascinated with board games and what they can offer an individual. They can consist of complex strategies and the ability for everything to change with each playthrough. After graduating, I slowly started to build my collection of board games, starting with games published by Stonemaier Games, Scythe and Wingspan.

If you are an avid board gamer, a pro tabletop champion, a novice, or feeling nostalgic about your childhood, then I welcome you into this community! Everyone is welcome! My hope for you is to learn as much as you can, have fun, meet new people, and enjoy those that come to your table.
